Hi all,

Just wrote a brief Cacti tutorial for newbie network adminstrators like me.

Catching Cacti : Network Administrator's Guide

Please read through it and let me know your suggestions. I'm open to all kinds of constructive criticism.

i want to use cacti-0.8.7b.tar.gz. I have install and configure it i get localhost graphs but i am not geting any remort host graphs. Please help me to solve the problem.

Why are you using such an old version of Cacti?
And maybe this is not the correct section for your problem, maybe a admin can move it to the help-center.

Back to your problem:
are you able to reach your remote hosts via ping on the commandline? Can you da an snmpwalk? Did you added your device correctly?

We need some more information if this didn't help you.
