Cacti, Graphics do not display
Hello!
I have cacti up and running on my ubuntu server rc 6.06 with Apache/2.0.55 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.1.2 mod_ssl/2.0.55 OpenSSL/0.9.8a. If it's of any importance it is the .tar.gz that i have installeb becouse with 'apt-get install cacti' it instals cacti on php4 and i's giving me some bad errors.
So cacti is now installed and i've created a new device and some graphics for it, but i can only see the name of the graphic as seen in the picture below. The host is a generic snmp host, i have instaleed 'snmpd' on the linux machine and the snmp is running.
I have up and running 'rrdtool', the path in cacti for rrdtool is correct but i get this error:
RRDTool Command:GRAPH ACCESS DENIEDRRDTool Says:GRAPH ACCESS DENIED
What is the problem?
Thanks.

I assume a severe misunderstanding between the both of us. I'll try to explain in more detail:
In cacti Settings, you'll find a field called RRDTool Utilities Setting. Two choices are presented, 1.0.x and 1.2.x.
And there's a command for rrdtool to get the current version number of the installed binary. You may get this information from rrdtool by applying the pam [/b]-v. This may produce sth likeIn this case, I'm running rrdtool 1.2.x with respect to the settings within cacti.
This is cruical for "rrdtool" command generation, as the syntax has changed slightly from 1.0.x to 1.2.x. And cacti (currently) does not fetch version information from rrdtool itself. So you have to verify this on your own.

Using the given command i have stated the version of RRDTool that i use since my last post. I use RRDtool 1.0.46 hence there is no need of setting the font path, the path to rrdtool is set corretly to my /usr/bin/rrdtoolBraynid wrote:I use RRDtool 1.0.46.
As for:I don't really know what you say by rrdtool -v. I've tried it in bash but i presume it needs some more arguments..- RRDTool Utility settings must match "rrdtool -v"
I hope this will clear some of the misunderstanding betwen us.
