CentOS graphing/SNMP questions

Post by slay »

Hi Folks

I have been reading here for a few days now trying to track down an issue I am seeing. I am running CentOS 4.3 with Net-SNMP 5.1.2. The machine is an IBM xserver with e100 Pro network.

I have seen others here with similar issues as me but nothing has helped me. I have made some observations and was hoping for some insight.

All graphing of other linux machines works great except for interface traffic. I have used both the Generic SNMP host and ucd/net-snmp host templates to try and figure it out. I have used the following with output to see that snmp works ok:

[root@cacti net]# snmpwalk -v 1 -c community host .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1
IF-MIB::ifInOctets.1 = Counter32: 1277641823
[root@cacti net]# snmpwalk -v 1 -c community host .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.1
IF-MIB::ifOutOctets.1 = Counter32: 1277642555

but the data never actually makes it to the graph. I look through the logs and I see that the data returned is 0. I have tried to go to data templates and add the OID

.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10

to interface traffic but this does nothing for me. Does anyone know what might be happening or why I am not getting any data back for the graphs?

Or can anyone provide a clue as to what I am missing?

Thanks
