SNMP OID's

hi, it's my again..
i hope you can helpme i need to monitoring some services like POP3 POP, IMAP, SSHD, HTTPD, DHCPD, MAILSCANNER, via SNMP, but i can't find the oid's, so if anyone cat tell me the oids to this services o tell whera i cant find it, i'll thank a lot of, because i been searching everywhere.

The short answer: it depends.

The long answer: it depends on what applications you're using to provide the services. Both Exchange and Sendmail are SMTP servers, but they will support SNMP in completely different ways (and thus have different MIBs and OIDs).

You need to speak to the manufacturer of whatever service you want to monitor. If you just want to see if the service is *running*, then get something like Nagios.

You may want to use non-snmp data gathering. Have a look at the second to last link of my signature. And find LOADS of resources at Scripts and Templates ready for use
