Brief question about ntop

Post by hellfire7707 »

Hello.

Can I see a graph displaying various traffic such as http, ftp, dns without cisco netflow?

Please let me know about this.

Thanks.

Um.. do you have a router that is specifically logging and storing that type of info in an OID? Cacti has to pull the information from somewhere (it doesn't just magically make this data up, even though that could probably be added as a plugin)

So basically, if you have the stats somewhere for this information, then yes, it can be done. So essentially something has to log it somewhere, it just doesn't have to be netflow.

Well... how do want to graph top users/protocols/whatever if it the source is constantly changing.

Give cisco nbar a try.
