I get this error when I try to patch 'mysql_5x_strict.patch' and 'database_autoincrement_corruption.patch' I've followed the instructions on http://www.cacti.net/download_patches.php
Patching the other files went ok.
admin@cacti06:/usr/share/cacti/site$ sudo patch -p1 -N < mysql_5x_strict.patch
can't find file to patch at input line 4
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?

Thanks
I downloaded those files manually into resp. directory instead and restarted the system (hope that's enough).
Except Cacti.sql which I couldn't find anywhere so I placed in Cacti root direcory, is that correct?

Well I downloaded and replaced those pre-patched files but I'm still having a LOT of strange problems when working with templates such as templates disappearing, adding title text for a template and saving sometimes delets the whole template, deleted template is still left in the system somewhere etc. This is why I'm not sure I've really patched Cacti.fmangeant wrote:Hi
you can find pre-patched files here : http://www.cacti.net/downloads/patches/ ... e-patched/
How can I verify that 0.8.6h is correctly patched?
I have dumped the "cacti.sql" file into "/usr/share/cacti/site" site, does anything else need to be done to it? The patch against it failed stating it was already patched.
I am having several of the same problems editing portions of templates/graphs (even opening them and hitting save make them go away)

What is your php memory set to? Increase it to 256M and then restart Apache.
