poller not polling.

Post by alvin_at_interlink »

I grabbed some templates for graphing lm_sensor data along with the snmp_queries xml files.

I am able to create a set of graphs but the rra's never get created.
The data queries seem to be created correctly and can query the device and find all the sensor devices but for some reason the approprate code never gets injected into the poller.

I am sure I am missing somthing basic here but I have run into a concptual brick wall.

Have you turned on debugging for the data sources?

I have checked in the poller cache and regenerated it but there is nothing in there relating to sensors.

Change the logging level in cacti to debug for a polling cycle and look in the log for errors. Is cacti collecting data?

curiouser and curiouser.

I turned up the logging level to debug and ran the poller cache clean and a few cmd.php cycles. Nothing to do with sensors at all shows up in the log

Do you see data sources in cacti for the lmsensors?
Do you see anything in your poller cache for the lmsensors?
