How to do Thold or poller more sensitive

Hello!

I've a problem with THold plugin.

By default poller is runing every 5 minutes.
If it have passed at 10.10 and host has down at 10.11
Thold will known at 10.15.
And if there is "failure count"=2 at poller settings thold will allert at 10.20

There is total 9 minutes between host down and allerting. it's not very nice to monitoring.

If I put setting failure count"=1 at poller settings, there are wrong alerts.
Becouse thold thinking that host down, but host is not down.
I mean thold need 2 times to check before it knows that is host realy down.

Is there way to do poller more sensitive like nagios?
Nagios is alerting at the same minutte, as the host down(10.11).
