XML SNMP Queries & Multiple Index

Post by poussa »

Hello,

I'm writing a XML SNMP_Queries for cacti.

I've a little problem while doing it. Objects aren't indexed on one index but on 2 indexes.
So, each Object is identified by the couple index1 & index2.....

How is it possible to handle a SNMP_Queries with 2 indexes?
Is it possible to concatenate both indexes into one? Or to create a virtual index ?

Does anyone have a solution to handle this ?

thx.

Sure; te magic word is "OID/REGEXP". By forming an appropriate regexp, you will be able to parse a string (e.g. <index 1>.<index 2>) out of an OID and use this for indexing the XML fields.
There have been threads regarding multi-level indexing that may help
