Discover doesn't appear to be working

Post by kbrookov »

I am using CactiEZ - I have set up Console | Settings | Misc:

10.254.250.0/24,10.254.249.0/24,10.254.248.0/24
Company DNS server
UDP as the ping method
Companies Community string
Poller frequency every 1 hour
Start time at 9:00 AM

I only want to discover Cisco routers at this point, is there something else I need to do to kick auto discover off?

EDIT: This is all I see on the Console | Discover page "There are no Hosts to display!"

You can try running it manually from the command line to see what is happening.

Code: Select all

findhosts.php -d -f

Thanks Cigamit - appears to run manually - what do I need to do to automate it?

I see the hosts in the discovery tab now.

It should run automatically from now on. There was a minor bug I resolved in SVN a while back that takes care of the issue of it not wanting to start the first time. I'm adding some more filtering options now, and I hope to push out a new version today.
