Update Mactrack From SVN

Post by emerillat »

Okay, I am pretty noob to SVN so please cut me some slack here. I was told that I needed to update my Mactrack install from SVN to take care of some database errors and rather than tie up too much of The Witness time I figured I would post to the community. I have the code downloaded from SVN but not exactly sure what I do with it now. Do you just extract it into the plugin directory and let it overwrite the old files or is there something else that has to be done before use?

Thanks In Advance!

lol, I am back, and I am working (not at this minute) at getting the official 0.2 release out on the streets. The SVN represents that release. I've got a lot of work in front of me though. So, what I am saying is that my ambitions are high, my time is limited. We'll see.

Glad to hear you're back and development is going forward.

What is the current status of auxvlan interopability? We're bringing a new building up in the next year and it will be entirely VoIP - PCs plugged into the phone, phone plugged into powered switches, etc.. My coworkers are very concerned about losing the functionality of Mactrack on those switches. :)

knobby,

If it's not working already (which I thought it was), you will have to give me access to a device so that I can roll it in.

It wasn't the last time I had to deal with it - however that's been awhile and I don't recall hearing anything more about it. I had since gotten rid of all of our auxvlan configurations.

We should be getting new equipment in the next several months. Once I have my hands on it I'll definately give you access to do whatever you need to do to verify it works.
