Hi,

I just got cacti working in Windows 2000. The only problem I'm getting is when I try to add SNMP interfaces. I gave it the host and community string, but I always get the following error. Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks.

Warning: Unable to fork [echo "03/13/2002 12:17 PM - SNMP: Getting SNMP data for host: host.domain.com, community: public1, hostid: 17" >> d:/apache/htdocs/html/cacti/log/rrd.log] in d:/apache/htdocs/html/cacti/include/functions.php on line 32

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at d:apachehtdocshtmlcactiincludefunctions.php:32) in d:apachehtdocshtmlcactisnmp.php on line 55

Seems to be a problem with the 'echo' command used for logging in cacti. Go into 'cacti Settings' and uncheck each item under the "Log File" group. See if that helps.

Hi raX

Thanks for the reply. I did what you instructed, but things still show up the same. Now, I removed the php.ini file and everything worked. I replaced the file back in the c:winnt and the problem came back.

It seems that the problem lies in the php.ini file, but I followed the instructions given for setting up cacti under Win2k, but things don't come along for me. Any ideas? Thanks.

REM out a few lines at a time and deduce the culprit...
