mail when problem

Post by biggg »

Hello,

I'm searching for an addon for Cacti.
Does someone know an addon which could send mail when, for example, cpu of one of the computers i monitore is working at 95% over 5 seconds ?
Another example : when a computer isn't graphed since yesterday, i would like cacti to send me a mail.

Does someone know a addon which could do this ?

Thank you for helping me :)

There is a Threshold plugin

If you are using cmp.php instead of cactid, it will email you anytime the host is unreachable.

cmd.php, is what you wanted to say ?
If not, what is cmp.php ?

and how to tell it to send me mails when the host is unreachable ?

Yes, cmd.php, as cactid doesn't use the internal cacti functions which contain our hooks. To tell it to send the emails, install the Plugin Architecture and Thold, and then goto "Setting" >> "Alerting/Thold" and set the "Alert e-mail" and check "Dead Hosts notifications". You may then have to test and change the email configuration at the bottom to work with your setup.
