Monitoring Switch for total octets in/out

Post by xenolith »

Hello, I am getting cacti setup for my organization for polling router interfaces and such. I have a few customers that hang off of an ethernet switch that I sell bandwidth to, not on how fast they use it, but for how much they use. The OIDs for my switch's in/out octets for port 18 is :

1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.18 Received
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.18 Transmit

Anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do graph these so at the end of the month I can just look at the graph and see what their max in/out usage has been? Not looking at the current traffic passing through, need totals.

Thanks,
Josh

This will be possible in the next version, 0.8.3. It contains a bandwidth summation feature which will work very similar to 95th percentile in 0.8.2.
