Changed RRDTool, Now can't get any info

Post by eclipse »

I upgraded my rrdtool from 1.0 to 1.2 and now when my scheduled task starts, I get an error that CHANGE ROOT IS NOT SUPPORTED BY YOUR OS, OR BY THIS VERSION OF RRDTOOL. My graphs show up with the data gathered by version 1.0, but no new data is being polled or shown. Any suggestions?

1) moving to the windows forum
2) you did not read the sticky in the windows forum.
3) You did not read my FAQ
Q: ERROR: change root is not supported by your OS or at least by this copy of rrdtool.
A: This error message occurs when you use the Win32 version of rrdtool instead of the Cygwin one.

Good to know, but where might I find this rrdtool.exe that I need. The download sections of the rrdtool website is lacking in organization.

Sorry, I get new data on the graph as far as the line goes, but my text data such as current, average, max has all dissapeared. It is just blank below the graph.

You don't have the correct rrdtool version or a valid rrdtool path+font.

No that is wrong. You pointed it to a dll instead of a font :o

Please read the install guide.
