Interface Traffic more than 114Mps

Hi friends.

I had have a problem from always with my cacti; when the traffic is more than 114Mbps aproximately the graph not show me the real traffic....i show por exmaple...if are 120Mps, then, the graphs show me 6Mbps....

Are urs understand to me ?

Hi Oscar,
It seems to be the typical 32/64 bit counter problem. Within 300 sec a 32 bit counter wrap around on interfaces with more than 114 Mps. Try to use the 64 bit counter (part of the default data queries) and graph again until your bandwidth reaches the 32 Bit limit of 114 Mps. There are several other threads to this issue (But its not a bug its only a counter)

Your solution dont fixed my problem, if i change my "select graph type to 64 Bits Counter" that dont generate graphs, my graphs are empty.. i can try other thing ???

Hi guys.

I need u help me with that.....i keep the same problem....Attach the graphs....when i have more than 114Mbps for example, my cacti show me other value...For example if i have 120Mbps that show me 6Mps

Oscar, si le queda mas facil, digame el problema. De lo que habias dicho me parece que cuando su trafico llega a 114Mbps cacti se lo muestra como si fuera 64Mbps??

Hola

No es asi, lo que sucede es que cuando tengo mas de 114Mbps de trafico en mis interfaces el CACTI no es capaz de graficarmelo; por ejemplo, si tengo 114Mbps me grafica normal, pero si en cambio tengo por ejemplo 120Mbps este me grafica 6Mbps.....Me entiendes ?

Es urgente la necesidad que tengo de solucionar este inconveniente, si me puedes ayudar o sabes como hacerlo te lo agradeceria muchisimo.

Oscar...

Debes de utilizar contadores de 64 bits que solo soporta la version 2 de SNMP (no confundir con la version de NET-SNMP). Al momento de crear el Host debes de especificar que vas a usar la version 2 en la seccion de SNMP Options. Cuando vayas a crear la grafica seleccionando CREATE GRAPHS FOR THIS HOST o seleccionando NEW GRAPHS en el tipo de grafica selecciona Traffic (bits/sec) 64 Bits.

Hola

Te cuento que no me funciona, cuando coloco los contadores de 64Bits y leyendo con SNMP V2 no me arroja valor alguno.
