Not Graphing Generic Oid

Post by laaremu »

Hello Guys,

I am unable to graph the SNMP-Generic graph which I referred to as RSSI value for my radios while the I am graphing the interface traffic and Ping latency.
Can some explain the reason why I this and I am using correct OID for the equipment.
I attached a sample of the output with this post.

I will be grateful if someone can help me out.

Please post the OID you are using and a copy of snmpwalk output of that OID against the device in question.

Also, please post the RRDTool debug output of the graph in question. You can find that by selecting the graph from Graph Management and then clicking the "Turn on Debug Graph Mode" link at the top of the graph page.

I was asking for the specific OID that you were using for your graph and the values returned from an snmpwalk for that OID. Please only return numerical values since I do not have a MIB file to compare.

Also, if you would post the debug output from your graph in cacti, it would help in understanding what might be wrong. You can see the debug output, by going to your Cacti Console then choosing Graph Management, then selecting the graph in question. Then, at the top of the graph page, there is a link that says "Turn on Graph Debug Mode". Click that to see the RRDTool Command output. Please paste that here so we can see if there is something wrong with your graph definition.

laaremu,

I got your private message. Please post your RRDTool Command output for the graph in question. Not the "RRDTool Says: OK", but the debug outpt from the RRDTool command itself. If you do not see the RRDTool Command output when you turn on graph debug mode, you are most likely using an old version of Cacti. If this is the case, please upgrade to 0.8.6h before continuing. Several annoying bugs were present in previous versions, including the removal of the RRDTool command output.

Hello Dan,
I really appreciate your input greatly.
I have done the upgrade this is the result of the test you said I should do

RRDTool Command:

/usr/bin/rrdtool graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="Client - Spring Bank Allen -Spring Bank Allen" \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="RSSI" \
--slope-mode \
DEF:a="/var/www/html/cacti/rra/client_spring_bank_allen_snmp_oid_14.rrd":snmp_oid:AVERAGE \
AREA:a#942D0C:"RSSI" \
GPRINT:a:LAST:"Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:a:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:a:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s\n"
RRDTool Says:

OK
I will be expecting your response.
Thanks
