cannot set datasource active

hi

i've got a cacti host here which is logging some data (mailserver, spams,ham,bounces ...) sind about 2 years.
one graph shows the rejected mails (blocked by dnsrbl) - it's a single data input (1 field) and a single datasource.
since yesterday is stopped working (i've upgraded almost the whole system to the latest packages EXCEPT cacti - since i didn't want to get into troubles X-D)
but now this datasource stopped working ...
it's basically working - in the poller logfile:
06/21/2006 09:50:10 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] Host[1] CMD: /root/bin/dnsspams.sh, output: 1:2892

seems ok - but the DS is not updated - so i tried to set the datasource inactive and active again, BUT i cannot set it to active, when i klick "save" it seems to save, but the active checkbox is unchecked after a refresh

hmm, i cannot even set new created datasources active

after deleting de datasource and the datainput and recreating them i think i know where the problem is - i cannot add a "output field" in the data input any more - HELP
if i klick save, it look like it saves, but no output field is added
