Option to Have Index.php Show Graphs By Default (vs Console)

Anything that you think should be in Cacti.

Option to Have Index.php Show Graphs By Default (vs Console)

Post by dfrailey »

My primary intent in setting up and running Cacti is for others to view the graphs as well as me.

For their convenience (and mine), I'd sure like to see an option to set Graph Viewing as the default first page (shown from index.php) instead of the Console (vice having to tell them to bookmark a longer URL like http://myhost/cacti//graph_view.php).

If Guest access was allowed, they would then see whatever the default graph viewing options were for the Guest user -- otherwise, a logon prompt should be shown initially.

Accessing through graph_view.php with the Guest account should also show who is currently logged in, and provide the same "(Logout)" option -- so a user could authentitcate as someone with different or elevated access to see other graphs.

An option to access the Console could be shown (the same as what you'd see if you started in the Console and then clicked on "Graphs"). If the currently logged in user didn't have console access, a logon prompt could then be shown (or the Console option not shown at all).
