DAP,

I've a problem of WMI connection. My cacti box is a win2k3 and it is in domain A. My Exchange server (2003 sp1) is in domain B and the comunication is through a firewall (but from A to B is all open).

Can you help me?

when i run "perl windows_exchangemessages.pl srvexchange" i receive WMI connection failed.

"WMI connection failed" messages usually are a permission problem with either the account you are running the script from manually, or the WMI permissions on the remote server. See my previous post about enabling "Remote enable" and see if that helps.

Cheers

I am able to manually run every script and get back results I want, but it breaks all of my graphing when I add them to my Exchange Server device.

Thoughts?

Did you fix the script path for the Data Input method?

Yeah I saw the post.

perl <path_cacti>/scripts/windows_exchangemessages.pl <hostname>

Can I zip up some logs and get someone to look them over?

I think I found out what is wrong. The Exchange graphing only works when I am logged in as the user that the scheduler uses to run every five minutes.

Is there a policy or something I need to set? I will go through my local server policies and see if I missed something.

Make sure your POLLER scheduled task is running under an account with sufficient access to your servers. See how you go then :)

DAP, is your Windows/Cacti installation in an 2003 Active Directory environment? It is weird that the poller runs, but only updates the files while the user account is logged in. I made sure that the check mark in the scheduled task is unchecked for "user must be logged in".
