Cactid Cannot Start Script Server

Cactid Cannot Start Script Server

Fresh install following BSOD's guide. I try to run cactid manually to verify it is working and get the following error.

C:\cactid>cactid

Enable debugging logging in cacti and then see exactly what the "Result from SERVER not valid. Partial Result: " message is all about.

hmmm....it seems to have fixed itself over the weekend. How strange.

when I make ./cactid.exe -S --verbosity=5 12 12
I returned :

DEBUG: SS[0] PHP Script Server Routine Starting
DEBUG: SS[0] PHP Script Server About to FORK Child Process
DEBUG: SS[0] PHP Script Server Child FORK Success
ERROR: SS[999] Script Server did not start properly return message was: 'U'
I don't understand what does mean "U" :(

Please Help.

U means nothing valid was returned.

change the logging level to debug for one cycle and look in the log for details.

it's ok,
the problem was the path to php.exe
cacti doesn't like spaces into the path. I moved php.exe in C:\WINDOWS and all is allright.

Very bad idea. You should've followed the installation guide and installed php to c:\php\.
