ldap connection

hey,
i have installed cacti in our company and it`s really working fine - but one thing we don`t understand...
what do we have to do, that cacti works with our ldap

cacti 0.8.6h is runing on an sles 9 sp1 server with apache 2 / php 5 / mysql (i also tested to use oracle, but give up...).

is the php_ldap module nessecary?
is an ldap-client installation nessecary?
what do we have to write in the DN field?
how can we set filters?
and so on...

I think you can make me really happy

Please refer to http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=11595. And yes, php-ldap is needed at least. Don't know, wether ldap-client is needed, too
