Bind 9 Stats?

Post by jomammy »

I installed the bind 9 stats addon script successfully and set all the proper permissions; however when I try to generate the maps, 0 rows are returned. I run the "Verbose Query" on this script and get the following in the debug window:
+ Running data query [10].
+ Found type = '4 '[script query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/var/www/sites/default/htdocs/cacti/resource/script_queries/bind9-stats.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing script for list of indexes 'perl /var/www/sites/default/htdocs/cacti/scripts/bind9-stats.pl index'
+ Executing script query 'perl /var/www/sites/default/htdocs/cacti/scripts/bind9-stats.pl query zone'
+ Found data query XML file at '/var/www/sites/default/htdocs/cacti/resource/script_queries/bind9-stats.xml'
+ Found data query XML file at '/var/www/sites/default/htdocs/cacti/resource/script_queries/bind9-stats.xml'
+ Found data query XML file at '/var/www/sites/default/htdocs/cacti/resource/script_queries/bind9-stats.xml'
Everything seems to be fine but I still get 0 rows and no graphs. Any ideas??

I have perl in my $PATH so that is not necessary; however, I had my dns chrooted and that was the issue. I had to allow executable on the chroot directory to allow it to be traversable to get to the named.stats file.

The addon now works but it is generating the exact same stats for all my hosts. I think it is just taking the GLOBAL stats and making those the stats for all domains.
