I am collecting data with MRTG w/mod_watch which collects data for 5min, 30min, 2hrs, 1day times... or it used to show these graphs in MRTG before i loaded rrdtool and converted them to rrd files. Now using cacti to graph the rrd files and setting up the data source i can see all four choices(5,30,2h,1d) but all graphs end up 5min/24hr.

How do i get the other graphs like 6day/year?

By default cacti will gather data for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly graphs as long as you select each of these items when creating the data source.

However, you can create graphs based on other intervals by creating new entries in "Round Robin Archives". Tell me if you need any assistance in doing this.

Hi
When i define the Data Source I see all four choices, when I select and one, two, three, or all of them and then i go up to graphs and define a new one, adding 'graph subitems' one for each desired view of the data (5min,2hr...).
Then add this to hierarchy to view.
All graphs appear the same ...5min/18hrs..
seeming no matter what my choice is.

hi
i solved my problem... not sure how i missed it but,,,, there is a default of 60000 on the time frame which does not allow other time frames to be shown.... by changing that to 0 (zer0) each graph can have its own setting... this can be set for the 'setting' button (top right of main screen.
