This is a mismatch between the currently used rrdtool version

Code: Select all

rrdtool --version
and the one configured under cacti's Settings

Hi all!

got the same problem: i changed the rrdtool version in cacti settings to 1.0.x (mine is 1.0.2). But i still don't have any graph, only the red X.
I never had this working :( (testing purpose at this time).

Is the something else to do after changing the parameters and saving?

Thx!

I have same problem default graph doesn't display.
I found rrdtool say error in menu

console --- > Graph Management --- > Localhost - Memory Usage and then click "*Turn On Graph Debug Mode". The rrdtool say

ERROR: opening '/usr/share/cacti/rra/localhost_mem_buffers_3.rrd': Permission denied

I already run command --- > "chown -R root:root rra/ log/".
How to fix this problem?

fedora core 4 ,cacti-0.8.6h,PHP 5.0.4

problem solved by
- moving www directory to root c:\
- changing the path in httpd.conf
- clearing the polling cache
- reinstalling cygwin (missing libs?)

I have graphes now, waiting for collectof data

This seems to be a permission problem for the httpd's user. Please consult the error_log of the httpd. If i'm correct, you'll have to configure your httpd/the directories to have at least read access for httpd and at least write access for the user running cacti's poller. In General, supplying root:root access makes thing much worse.
