Apache on XP with "interact with desktop" gives po

Folks,
for a project I am currently working on, it is required to have the Apache service (on XP) started with the "interact with desktop" switch enabled.
When doing this, i get CMD popups during graph creation when I access the "graphs" tab in Cacti.
I guess the reason for this is that now also the rrdtool.exe will give output to the CMD, creating the popups. If this is right, is there a swich to use with rrdtools to depress this popup and where in the Cacti code should I look for when modifying this?
If I am completely wrong, any ideas of what is causing these popups?
