traffic VOLUME totals

Post by tomazu »

Hi,

I'm a newbie with Cacti and I've searched google and the forums, but was unable to find a solution to get daily, monthly and yearly traffic volume totals (not speeds/bandwidth, but traffic volume!). E.g.:

###
Monthly outgoing total: 8 TiByte
Monthly incoming total: 2 TiByte
Monthly total traffic volume: 10 TiByte
###

Is there something very basic I'm overlooking and/or can anybody help me?

Sincerely,
Thomas

Check out the Graph Variables documentation for Bandwidth Summation.

Dear rony,

thank you very much for this information, it wasn't very clear for me that bandwidth summation equals traffic volume (e.g. bandwidth ist mbit/s, whereas traffic volume is mbytes, gbyte etc., but summation is mbytes/day, mbytes/week, mbytes/year etc. right?).

Bandwidth summation graphs can be set to any type you want, GB, MB, etc....

As for the range, that depends on the time range you select on the graph, or the time range you specify in the graph variable.
