Graphing total Bandwidth usage?
Is there an add-on/script that will allow us to monitor the total bandwidth used in a certain period (a billing period for instance) that will put out the total amount in MB or GB?
Thanks
Thanks

Check out the Bandwidth summation section in Graph Variables chapter of the documentation.

Well, there is already a template for Bandwidth summation.
You should be able to alter the template that the graphs in question are using. That is if they are just standard interface graphs.

Thanks for your help. I found the templates, however, why are there two Total bandwidth templates? They seem to be the same. Also, from what I understand, if I want the default settings, I can simply add that graph to a host and that's it, correct? Or do I need to do something on the server itself?
Thanks
Thanks
I'm trying to do the same thing. I setup Cacti using out of the box settings and the default templates.
Having done this I have two graphs that are practicly the same.
As can be seen in the picture attached
The difference is that the bottom one has a Total Out in MegaBytes...
How do i get the graph for bandwidth to actually represent bandwidth not throughput? also how do i get the "total in" text to show as well?
Thanks guys

That's worked great, I didn't even notice those templates.... That's probably where I can fix my other issue of getting bandwidth to display instead of through put, now to go and playamh007 wrote:FYI, if you put a hard return in max output as well as max input, it will line all the data up nicely again (anal, sue me).
easy to fix.....slack wrote:I have the same problem with the Total In field on the graph.
go to Graphtemplates pick the template you have problems with...
ex. Interface - Traffic (bits/sec, Total Bandwidth)
change width from 500 to 600, press save....
if you can patch it to day, why dont whait util 2morrow
