I want to monitor interface with cacti but I want to exclude traffic with some local IP.
I work like an ISP and I want to do graph for clients without internal traffic for backups and others data transfers.
I'm a beginner with snmp and I don't know how I can do this. Can you help me?
Thanks ?
snmp + filtered interface traffic

Two approaches:
1) Search some interface, that does not see internal traffic and graph this
2) Use sth like http://www.ntop.org (There's a cacti plugin for this) to graph streams
A 3rd one (no that good)
- Graph all Traffic
- Graph pure internal traffic
- do some Graph, that subtracts the 2nd from the 1st
This is not that good approach, cause the 2nd item will be hard to do

But I don't understand ntop !
How can I configure this tool ?
Where can I find doc for this product ?
It would be far too much for me to answer that question. If you insist: the answer is 42Is it the only solution for my problem ?

In fact I have a server in a DMZ. Cacti is on a lan workstation and I can't put it in the DMZ.
.........................DMZ
......................... |
Internet ----------|---------------Lan to Lan ---------------Lan
The DMZ is in a datacenter and I can't add a new machine to monitor network.
I have installed NTOP on my Lan but (it is normal) i can't see traffic between my DMZ servers and Internet.
I host servers for my clients and i want to give them graphs for internet traffic. If I just analyse Interface traffic, I have traffic between server and Internet but also Server and my LAN. And I use my LAN to do backups. So all nights I have a big traffic on the graph.
I don't know how I can exclude traffic with lan and I need help.
So if you have an idea or a suggestion ...
Thanks for help
