Graphing Temperature Predictions

Post by Cougar »

Hi,

Fairly new to cacti & rrdtool. I have a pretty simple graph displaying the temperature for a given city.

My question is this, if I have the predicted values (upto say 3days in advance) would it be possible to graph these values? Or is it only possible to enter current values with the rrdtool?

I hope that makes sense.
Thanks in advance.

Only the current values, IIRC. Eventually, cacti will support rrdtool's holt-winters forcasting which would sort of do what you want.

You're not alone. This is (not yet) implemented with current cacti 0.8.6h.
You may of course generate a NEW rrd file, e.g. holding the 1 day forecast data, another one holding the 2 day forcast data etc.
