libpng warning: Application was compiled with png.h from lib

Using Debian and have all required packages installed, but this just does not work.

I have similar issue but runing on Solaris:

libpng warning: Application was compiled with png.h from libpng-1.2.8
libpng warning: Application is running with png.c from libpng-1.0.15
libpng error: Incompatible libpng version in application and library

I wanted to do to exchange my old RRDTOOL 1.0 with trandy one 1.2. The 1.2.12 was complied by myself.

Any suggestion apart from using the 1.0?

The problem is solved by creating a symbolic link:
ln -sf libpng.so.3.1.2.8 libpng.so.2

The issue was related with the libpng.so.2 which seems to be used by the RRDtool.
