Monitoring Windows through Debian

Post by breizh35 »

Hello,

Cacti is working on my debian and I'm monitoting a lot of think on it.

But now I would like to monitor a lot of parameters on some windows computers (for exemple : the network interface and CPU).

I would like to test the ping command too !

Please, how can i do it ?

Do I need to install some new template, specific script or anything else ?
In this case, is there a procedure ?

Thank you for your help !

If the windows system does respond to the same OIDs (e.g. interface traffic), you need not change anything. But if you're going to monitor some specific features, please have a look at the Scripts and Template forums for lots of stuff

Hi

as Reinhard said, you can use the following to graph non standard items :
- NRPE (Nagios Remote Plugin Executor)
- WMI (see http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=11752)
