Data input method -- php script does not work

Post by Plutopath »

Hi,all

I am trying to create a data input method using php script, details are:

Input Type: Script/Command
Input String: php <path_cacti>/scripts/myping.php <ip>

When I manually run the poller from the command line(#php poller.php),
everything is right and i get the desired graph.
But when the cacti run it periodically,no result come out.It seems that my script is never ran by cacti.

I have double checked that all users have full privileges to myping.php.

OS:Fedora core 3
cacti:0.8.6

And when i use the perl script instead, details are:
Input Type: Script/Command
Input String: perl <path_cacti>/scripts/myping.pl <ip>

Everything is ok, including manually run or periodically run.

Does anybody have any idea?

Thanks in advance,
-Pluto
