Floppy drive scan

Hello,
My cacti run really good but all network PC have nose from floppy drive when my PC update rrd files but I don't use floppy graph How I can stop this?

Disconnect/disable the floppy drive. Windows SNMP has a bug when you poll a partition, all of them, including the damn floppy drive, is polled.

It's not a bug, it's a feature....

There is a way to make it not occur as much. There is a disk data timeout in snmp (internal), so, if you setup a snmp query to that set of OID's, about every minute, it will not hit the A: drive as much. It still will, just not as much.

Thanks but on my network I have 100s PC and scan every minute is to short

We can't change script host disk to hit all storage without A:??

I have change Poller every minute and A: are allready hit this feature is not good

It's not a problem with a Cacti script. It's a problem with microsoft's SNMP implementation. I'll restate it again, when you poll any partition specifically, all partitions on the system will be refreshed, A: drive included.

Microsoft ...... Is strang because last Year one intership same me havec use MRTG and RRD and don't have this feature of floppy is maybe caused by update no?

I have a modified ss_host_disk.php script and templates that I run that takes out the floppy, cd-roms, and the virtual memory. It also happens to cache the total size so we don't have to poll it the whole time, and also returns the used size as a percentage (extremely handy for thresholds).

Its on the forums somewhere here, but I don't happen to have the link off hand.

That does not work. Microsoft, in there infinite wisdom updates all infomration when you poll a single element from the Host Resources MIB associated with Disk. It is a feature, not a bug (just joking, who can open a bug report with Microsoft?).
