Unix Load Average not working

Post by petersen »

Hi,

I'm polling serveral hosts with 0.8.6h-2 and 0.8.6g-2 out of the debian apt repository. Only one of about 20 hosts with enabled unix load average is returning data for the graph. From the others and the cacti server itselfs there are polling-errors like this:

Code: Select all

CACTID: Host[14] DS[572] WARNING: Result from SCRIPT not valid. Partial Result: ...
CACTID: Host[14] DS[148] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: ...
CACTID: Host[14] DS[149] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: ...
CACTID: Host[32] DS[174] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: ...
CACTID: Host[37] DS[180] WARNING: Result from SNMP not valid. Partial Result: ...
CACTID: Host[70] ERROR: Empty result [192.168.1.250]: 'perl /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts/loadavg_multi.pl'
CACTID: Host[70] DS[580] WARNING: Result from SCRIPT not valid. Partial Result: ...
I've really tried everything. In fact this installation was running on an old system with an older version of cacti and cactid.

I hope someone could help me.

Regards

Hi

are you using cactid 0.8.6f ? If so, you should upgrade to 0.8.6g for the load average to work.

Sorry,

this information was missing in my last post. I'm using cacti 0.8.6h-2 and cactid 0.8.6g-2 out of the debian sid repository.

Okay, I will try it with that.

Thanks in advance.

Hey,

so I've tried it with the last cactid from apt-archive (0.8.6g-2+b1). But I still get these errors I mentioned above. Some other ideas?

Christoph
