Fatal error: Cannot redeclare title_trim
Moderators: Developers, Moderators
I set Apache to CGI mode and ran into a couple of problems. I fixed them, but am unsure if they are related to the problem you are all seeing. Can some of you download the following file and give it a try?

Thanks,

Downloaded new file, set SQL password to match my existing config, restarted Apache, and got the exact same error:
"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare title_trim() (previously declared in D:\Apache\Apache2\htdocs\cacti\include\functions.php:27) in d:\apache\apache2\htdocs\cacti\include\functions.php on line 27"
"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare title_trim() (previously declared in D:\Apache\Apache2\htdocs\cacti\include\functions.php:27) in d:\apache\apache2\htdocs\cacti\include\functions.php on line 27"
I think I found it... If my php.ini contains the following, I get the error:
If I comment this out, or change it to another path, the error goes away. I hope it turns out to be this easy *crosses fingers*

Code: Select all
include_path=c:/apache2/htdocs/cacti-0.8.1

Hmmm...
Well, I commented that line out of my php.ini, and it fixed the problem. It allowed me to login, create a new password, and then start editing the configuration. However, when I clicked on the "graphs" tab at the top of the page, it took me to the graphs page then I couldn't go anywhere from there. None of the tabs or buttons worked. I had to restart the browser and relog in to get back to cacti. I went through the process again and the same thing happened. I don't know if it's related to the above problem or not, or if there's just something wrong with my configuration.
Antway, it's getting late and I'm going home, but I'll look here for any updates or information tomorrow.
Thanks for the help Ian!

The problem you are experiencing now is a known one. Check out the following thread for more details:Mike R. wrote:Well, I commented that line out of my php.ini, and it fixed the problem. No problem Next time someone comes to me with this problem, I will know exactly how to fix it. Not only that, but now I know to update my win32 install doc so users do not add the 'include_path' line to their php.ini file.Mike R. wrote:Thanks for the help Ian!

i think you should change your php.ini like :
include_path = C:/Apache2/htdocs/cacti
cacti works correctly now
Still the same probs
Have tried to comment out the include_path but without luck. Still get the same error message.
