Editing large amounts of data in cacti

Maby there could be a sort of command line interfasce.
For example: add snmp_interfaces host=192.168.0.1, community=xxxx,
or add graph host=192.168.0.1, Description=eth0
It will be a powerfull way to add many interface because you can make small script to help.
The same way for data source, graphs .....
