need help for adding download/upload though SCP (SSH)

Post by pepj »

subject: need help for adding download/upload the configuration though SCP (SSH).

concern: plugin download/upload routers switches configuration http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t ... c&start=15

I 've discussed with the creator of "pancho" Charles Menzes(devel@pancho.org).
He can add in pancho the option to download/upload the configurations through SCP (SSH).
For these changes he needs some volunters for testing the new function.

If someone is interested you can contact him www.pancho.org (devel@pancho.org) and the "pancho" mailing list http://lists.pancho.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss.

I will adapt the cacti plugin configmanager to use this option.

thanks

Why FTP? Can't you get it done via SSH? :)

FTP/TFTP requirements are the only thing keeping me from using your plugin.

Hi

I think you right. A option with ssh (scp on the router) would be a real advantage. I think it is possible, but I have to discuss with Charles Menzes, "pancho", (devel@pancho.org)

Hi

I spoke to Charles Menzes for developping SCP (SSH).
He could do that as long as there is a user base that would be willing to work at testing this new feature.

I change the help need to SCP (SSH). in the first post.

PS: the "pancho" mailing list will be up on the website again today. In the meantime however you can pass along the following URL for anyone wishing to subscribe...

I'm game for testing... sign me up.

Then we can talk him into doing the repository thing as well, right? :)
