My first problem with Cacti

Post by Yesser »

Hi:
I'm trying to install Cacti, I have followed every step, and when I type htt://127.0.0.1/cacti/ in my web browser, it not find the page.
I have tried changing the name of the page index.php for index.html (in the cacti directory), and in this case I can open the page.
What can be happen with php?
Can anybody help me?

If you can access it by going to http://127.0.0.1/cacti/index.php then you need to add index.php as one of the allowed DirectoryIndex pages. How you do that will depend on what webserver you're using.

Hi:
I solved my problem with cacti removing PHP5 and installing PHP4. I had a problem when i was importing the cacti.sql file. Have you noticed an error with the cacti.sql file when you are importing it with MySQL?

Yes, and that is fixed by applying the patches for cacti BEFORE you set it up, like my install guide says. Also you'll want sql strict mode disabled.
