1 i can't use advance ping ,cacati 0.6.8h,rrdtool 1.2.12,php 5.1.2 ,
php socket support,
but i use the command:

It take me a full day but i am still confused.
2 when i do :
su cacti
php poller.php

but if i use root :

ERROR: Not enough arguments
how can i do ? thanks/.

Perhaps you need to activate the sockets option in php, see http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t ... highlight=

1) Currently ss_fping must be run as root on Unix in order to create sockets.
2) The CACTID error is caused by a bug in the current release and has been fixed in SVN.
I am working on an enhancement that will help with creating raw sockets if you run the posix extension.
