Currently, the font and font size for a graph can be set globally and per user, but not in the graph templates, where such a setting also belongs.
Why does this matter?
I'm building graph templates for BlackBerries. As user "admin", I cannot see what user "RIM" sees, because admin's personal settings override the global setting. If there was a setting in the graph template (preferably, a lockable setting that user settings cannot override), I could be sure that the graphs that are designed for the BlackBerry cannot be screwed up by the user. See below for an example where information is missing ("Total" for "Up") because of the font setting.
Furthermore, unless the user settings for admin are changed to the user settings for RIM, admins continually have to log in and out as "admin" and "user" in order to check the appearance of the graphs (changing the global setting would affect all users).
I have a hunch that other users may benefit from a template-driven setting as well.
Affected pages:
Global settings: ./cacti/settings.php?tab=visual
User settings: ./cacti/user_admin.php?action=graph_settings_edit&id=3
Graph templates: ./cacti/graph_templates.php?action=template_edit&id=38

I don't have any answer for you but I am interested in viewable graphs on the blackberry. I would be very curious to see your templates and hear about some of the other issues (if any) you've come across while trying to do this. I was considering using sparklines to present multiple graphs per screen on a blackberry but haven't done any of the reserach yet.
