Hi,
I installed cacti on RH 7.2..
I created a cactiuser on mysql for cacti database...
Must i create a cactiuser for Linux?
I got no graph and rrd file. Solving this problem becomes more important than using cacti.
Because i try on Win2000 and Xp but i have no rrd file and grap.
I think that raX must write down a detailed instruction which tell every step correctly.
I want to use cacti but i can't till today
Please help me. Additionally i must thank to khutton for his instruction about XP and Linux, but both of these instruction are not enough to use cacti :(
Please help...
Regards.....

You didn't give very much information, but it sounds like it could be a permissions problem. Whatever user runs cmd.php will be the user it tries to write to your rra files with. If that user doesn't have permission to write, then obviously it won't write.

When you say you have no graph, does that mean a blank graph, or a broken image? If it's a blank graph, this makes sense -- no data means no graph. If it's a broken image, then again, probably permissions, but check the posts on this board, there's lots about that problem.

Actually we use cacti on intranet. So, there is no security problem. Thus, i use root user for all processes.
MySQL, cacti, crontab, etc...
