Font size on graph

Post by Beaujolais »

Is there a way how to make fonts on graps smaller so all the info would fit in?
I'm missing the Total In info (see attached picture).

thx

If you have altered or saved your users graph settings, you need to change them there as well.

Make sure you have the font path set explicitly to a TrueType font.

I've noticed this 'wrapping' problem since upgrading to 0.8.6h. All the graphs with longer legend strings that previously displayed correctly in 0.8.6g, started falling off the right had side when running under 0.8.6h. Same font, same paths, same rrdtool.

Sounds like a bug to me.

I don't recall that code being change in 0.8.6h.

And I do recall people having this issue in 0.8.6g. This is mostly related to the version of rrdtool, the font and the font size selected.

I have this problem too

and have had it for some time. I've tried changing the font size down, but it also seems to have no effect....

Has anyone had any luck using an alternative TTF font??

Hi people,

like you I got this annoying problem since the update in 0.8.6h if I remember well.

Here is finally the solution I found :
in the visual settings, you need to fill the "Legend Font File" setting, and your font size will be used ^^

here is what I put :
legend font size : 7
legend font file : /usr/local/share/rrdtool/fonts/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf

That strange that the "RRDTool Default Font Path" isn't used :/

You surely are using rrdtool-1.2.x and did change the Settings for that? No ttf fonts supported for rrdtool 1.0.x!
