IIS monitoring - quick question

Post by lee_evans »

I'm just interested to know which OIDs people are using to monitor the HTTP component in IIS (5, specifically)

I've tried a few different ones without much success - they all seem to return results of 0 pretty much all the time, although this is a production system and I know from firewall logs that the HTTP service is under at least some usage. The only OID that seems to return anything of value is the Current/Total NonAnonymousUsers - but as most of the websites users *are* anonymous (eg IUSR_MACHINENAME) users that seems a little pointless.

thanks

If your cacti install is running on windows use WMI or on Linux use check_nt.

Not 100% sure but you probably need something like snmp informant to get some usefull IIS stats available through snmp.
