failed query with changing the default snmp port #

Post by jlim0930 »

I have 2 installations of cacti.. first is the g version and 2nd is the h version. I am also in the process of moving everything over to the h version.

I have added about 20 hosts so far and all of those 20 hosts have the default snmp port of 161.

I am now adding some hosts that have snmp ports thats been changed ie 12345 for example.

I have specified the port number on the device add settings but for some reason its not generating any rrd files for this host and the status states that its down. with snmp udp

i can do a snmpwalk from the host that cacti is on by doing snmpwalk -c xxxx -v 2c remotehost:12345 and get the full reply back.

when i ran the poller manually i do not get any errors and my logs does not show any errors.

i have double checked my settings from the older version with the newer version and they are identical

i am using cactid g version on the new host as well.
