The mactrack reverse lookup isn't yet working for me - should it be?
I'm not getting anything with this plugin, grepping for discov or find turns up nothing in the logs, so I have to assume its not being kicked off?
Kicking it off manually with ICMP shows nothing in the logs (just that its started) and with UDP shows:
Code: Select all
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function socket_create() in /usr/share/cacti/lib/ping.php on line 253
With TCP:
Code: Select all
PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function socket_create() in /usr/share/cacti/lib/ping.php on line 352

I'm getting these errors:
With UDP:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function socket_create() in /opt/cacti/cacti-0.8.6g/lib/ping.php on line 200
With TCP:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function socket_create() in /opt/cacti/cacti-0.8.6g/lib/ping.php on line 266
With ICMP:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function socket_create() in /opt/cacti/cacti-0.8.6g/lib/ping.php on line 95
Am I missing something...?!
Thanks in advance!
(And sorry for my poor English...)

Okay it's working for me, but I've a question.
To discover hosts, I had to run manually the file findhosts.php with php findhosts.php command.
Did I make something worng or must I do it like this?
How can I run it automatically? I'm thinking about a cron, but I don't know if I'm right.
Thx.

I've just discovered that hosts are searched when my server start up, and then look for new hosts regularly when it's up.
So I don't need anymore no launch it manually.

Discovery should run every 24 hours and will run with the poller, no extra cron jobs required. I am currently working on an option to allow you to specify the start time and how often it should run.
