different port numbers
not sure if this has been requested (couldnt find it from a search), but the ability to use a different port number in the custom data section of a data template would be nice. for instance you have something like net-snmp running on a non-default port say 10161 and your application is running on the default port of 161. adding a section in the data template would save the time of creating a second host for the new port number.
just a thought..
just a thought..
Thats a very unique situation, so it would warrent a custom data template / query. Take a look in the Informaton forum on how to create/modify existing templates/scripts.

The ability to have multiple agents on a single host, each with their own unique port number, is currently supported in Cacti 0.8.x cmd.php and Cactid 0.8.6f and above.

Look at the generic snmp graph template. You should be able to specify an alternate snmp port number for that host. Therefore, since up status is determined by specifying the snmp port with sysUptime on it, you would specify 10161 for the host. Then for the other snmp counters on port 161, you would specify the other port number for those hosts either using the default "generic snmp" graph template, or by creating your own.

I till now shall not understand as it is possible to realize data polling from different ports in on the device. I unfortunately have not found in a generic snmp graph template snmp port field, moreover, snmp port is not transferred in " Get SNMP " data input method. It seems to me in general impossible to use what or port except for 161 in Get SNMP method. Which I have found the unique decision, this instruction of port in a field hostname in the "device" tab, for example: "any_host:snmp_port". Correct for me if I am wrong.TheWitness wrote:Look at the generic snmp graph template. You should be able to specify an alternate snmp port number for that host.
