My cacti installation on CentOS 4.2 is creating blanks graphs for devices created using advance ping. running the Data Query on consol with root privledge i get following error
[root@lin cacti]# php /var/www/cacti/scripts/ss_fping.php ss_fping 10.170.0.121 5 ICMP
PHP Notice: Undefined variable: method in /var/www/cacti/scripts/ss_fping.php on line 56
PHP Warning: socket_connect() expects parameter 3 to be long, string given in /var/www/cacti/lib/ping.php on line 220
PHP Warning: socket_write() unable to write to socket [89]: Destination address required in /var/www/cacti/lib/ping.php on line 244
my phpinfo shows '--enable-sockets' (i think sockets are enable in php)

How would you suggest that this be setup. Please publish a procedure.chrisgapske wrote:alexdehaini wrote:I have the same issue, how do I resolve it?
Sounds like a permission issue I had..
If your poller is not running as root( By the way I don't recommend doing that) than you have to give your poller user sudo permissions to create an ICMP packet to send the pings.
