No longer creating graphs? CANNOT FIND DATA SOURCE:

I haven't added any graphs to Cacti in a month or two, but now when I try to add a new graph, there is no graph generated. When I look at the data source I see the following. Any ideas where I should start to fix this? All of my current graphs are still updating correctly, so I'm pretty sure it's not a permissions problem. I'm just not sure what I screwed up!
I am presenting my Master's thesis next week and a large portion of it involves how I utilized Cacti to monitor the network where I work, so I would LOVE (to say the least) to have this working for my presentation! Please help!

Oh, I don't see any errors when I run cmd.php from the command line either. ?? Is there another step I could use to further trouble-shoot this? I'm open to suggestions.

Also, worst case scenario time:
If I cannot get this working correctly in the next few days, how difficult is it to create a new installation of Cacti and import my current database?

Can you see if " /www/htdocs/cacti///rra/155_138_96_2__traf_.rrd" exists? You may want to check your cacti settings for the rra path. You have triple "/" in there. I know this is not normally a problem. Also, check to see if rra/ and log/ has the proper permissions. I've had that before.

No, "/www/htdocs/cacti///rra/155_138_96_2__traf.rrd" does not exist. I'm certain that's where the problem lies, but I'm not sure why the .rrd is not being created in the first place. I'm going to check out your other suggestions and get back with you.

OK, I'm still not sure exactly what was happening, but I'll give you all the info I have and see if you guys have any thoughts on why new graphs were not being created.

I found out that the cmd.php process was taking over 5 minutes to complete. So, my guess is that while the previous process was running, it locks the .rrd files or maybe the whole /rra directory until it is finished?

All I did to get it to start working is play around with the permissions a little (don't think that was it because everything had been set OK initially, I just changed them and changed 'em back).

I did delete 100+ data sources that I really didn't need. I also found that 4 of the data sources were referring to a switch that had been removed from the network and was causing some major delays while waiting for a timeout when cmd.php was run.

If the cmd.php process is taking longer than 5 minutes to run, is this one of the problems that would manifest itself?? I'm interested in your thoughts on this--obviously, I'm no expert.
