Intermittent graphs (slips)

Post by jay_kumar »

Hi all

I have installed Cacti on CentOS with all the patches. Problem with my Cacti graphing is that i get intermittent graphs. there are random spaces in the graphs. i have checked the log with debug mode and frequently getting following errors:

02/03/2006 01:00:03 AM - CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: SQL Exec Failed "insert into poller_output (local_data_id,rrd_name,time,output) values (40,'traffic_out','2006-02-03 01:00:02','651746285')"

I have checked all the cron entries and have two entries for the poller.php

cactiuser php /var/www/cacti/poller.php > /dev/null 2>&1
cacti php /var/www/cacti/poller.php &>/dev/null

You may notice that the "blanks" in all the three graphs are in same time period.

That is causing your issue. You must have only 1 cron entry. You pick.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
